St. Louis

Just finished booking; this will be my first. Are there any workshops or classes going on that I might want to try and reserve a spot for? Anywhere I can get that info?

I'll knock it down to 40.00 plus shipping. Some of you tall guys could use these, I bet. Otherwise the poor things go back to my rafters.

Pair of long legs for E9

2 legs. They are 27" from bottom of leg to start of the threads. The three pedal rods are 25.5" My legs aren't long; I bought these from Carter several years ago when I thought I would be able to play with cowboy boots. Good one. Sixty dollars plus actual shipping. The first person that wa...

Volume pedal with capacitor

Thinking of wiring a capacitor to the pot to change it to a foot controlled tone pot. Like to do byrd tone swells, but not skilled enough to use the pot on the guitar. Is this a wacky idea? Has anyone tried it before? Any tips on how to go about it?

7 strings C6 + A7 vs C6 + Bb

I built a seven string guitar. Not bad, and maybe I can post pics later. But what to do with that extra bass string? I have the Jerry Byrd course and have been messing with the C6 (135613) + A7 tuning (7th string to C#) but it's not floating my boat. I started just lowering it to Bb and having a dom...

I like the Jeff Newman. Clear, nicely laid out and most important, he doesn't just list a chord as an isolated entity but shows how you are likely to find them in progressions, and myriad ways to connect them with other chords. Rather than just something to refer to now and then, you can use this to...

Double8 Stringmaster

800.00 -This one plays/sounds nice but has some issues: Finish original Butterscotch, but fairly dinged. Converted somewhere along the line from 4 to 3 legs. Pots a little scratchy. Some small bits of corrosion/rust on tuning pan, screw heads. here's a link to some not great pics from its short ebay...

Thanks to Billy and all involved. I really took advantage of everything; I took the Joe Wright seminar (which was great, entertaining, and is inspiring me to really get my butt in gear)-I also traded my Carter in on a new one and John Fabian was kind enough to take my old one with him. Anyway, I can...

garage band vs. Band in a Box

Has anybody used this program that comes with Apples? Any comments on how it compares with Band in a Box would be appreciated. It looks like it does alot of things - is recording tracks one of them? Is it difficult?

To David Little; The Franklin pedal C.D. isn't listed on his site but send him 20.00 and he'll get you one. He also has one on the lever that raises the F#'s, and lowers the Eb. I don't have the pedal 4 yet, but went ahead and moved a pull up to the second string to lower the Eb like he said and fin...

SW steel guitar show in January

Trying to find info on this: what vendors, players, workshops, seminars, etc. will be there. Never will be able to attend Scotty's as I'm a teacher and it's usually the first week of school, but I'm wondering if this is a decent one, worth the time, gas, and hotel. I live about 5 hours away.

George L sells new pots. You can replace it yourself but its not cake. They have a piece of cord doing a confusing (to me) pulley type deal in there. I made a diagram before undoing the old one - it helped a lot.
