Peavey Special 212, Lights Up but No Sound

Before I take the amp to a repair shop, does this sound like a major problem?

I can plug my Goodrich pedal into another amp and all is okay.

Ken...the Deuce is a VT Series. A further question to both of you: What exactly does a Profex do? I know that asking this question readily identifies me as a neophyte...but I have to learn.

Thanks.

Deuce and Special 212 Amps

As a new psg player, I have acquired two different amps. One is a Peavey Deuce (2 12" spkrs) and a Peavey Special 212 (1 15" spkr). In talking to Mike Brown via email, I am now aware that these amps are not specifically made for steels. Mike recommends either the new 212 or the 1000; both ...

I'm new to the "world of steel" and enjoyed a very pleasant experience in a MOM & POP store...Norris Music in Mesquite, TX. Mr. Norris, with the fine help of his wife, re-strung my psg while I waited...and I got to enjoy a little bit of history while visiting with them. Didn't quibble ...

I'll be all smiles...Jerry Byrd

...just listened to Jerry Byrd and his rendition of "I'll be all smiles".

I became like a puppy I had as a youngster...whenever he got excited, he would pee all over the floor.

Incredible music!

Ed:

I haven't heard any response from you on the requested parts for my Cougar so I thought I would try the Forum since I may be emailing incorrectly.

I do appreciate you stocking Cougar parts and being a resource.

FS or T...Cougar S10 3 pedals, 4 levers

I purchased this psg from a known forumite and have been pleased with the purchase. I have decided to continue my education by focusing on a S12 unit...which I am getting from another forumite. It comes with a Cushcraft hard case and it does have extensions on the legs and pedal rods...I am 6'2"...

Peavey Special 212

Can you assist me on properly using the settings on a Peavey Special 212 amp? I have downloaded the manual from the Peavey website but, because I am new to this, it doesn't help me that much.

Thank you.

Steeler's Choice Seat

I just took delivery on a new seat built by Ken Rollans with Steeler's Choice.

You know, I don't see how he accomplishes such a high degree of quality and yet keep the price reasonable! I am amazed...but thankful.

Thank you Ken for outstanding workmanship.

Terrific harmony.
