Yeah...apt description. I started with an acoustic lap steel at age 11 and graduated to a 6 string "lelani w/amp" about a year later played some w/a young "western band" in Calif. till about age 13 when I quit..too hard!! At the tender age of 62, I tried again (in retirement) so ...

Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, there ain't a much better steel around!

The semitone intervals are different. C Major scale is 2-2-1-2-2-2-1 (semitones). C Minor scale is 2-1-2-2-1-2-2 (Natural) 2-1-2-2-1-3-1 (Harmonic) 2-1-2-2-2-2-1 (Melodic) The Harmonic is the most common in use. I don't play C6 as yet but did see the tab in the Newsletter-(neat)!
It prompted me to run out a rough tab in E9 (A flat) out of the hymnal...which I'm tweaking on now..(fun fun).

Good stuff! I had mine set just a little off full volume with the tone just a little off full (cw) and the off point about 2 o'clock. Thanks to the great input on this thread, I'm tweaking around (again). The pickup is a GFI I (I think that means a Geo L special) with a steel driver III between them...

Peter, There are days and there are days! The correct measurement between 1 and 23 is 15 1/4". I did not originally allow for the 1" offset I used to be sure I was accurate (of all things). My apologies. I know how perplexing things can get when one is trying to work with inaccurate info. ...
