Laverne, Jewelling is simply a series of fine scratches left in the finish from sanding or lapping. A lot of guitars have jewelled necks. Yours may have but I can't tell from the angle of the photos. Look at the flat surface just in front of the pickup and see if the neck has a sort of patterned loo...

Great looking guitar.

Are some of the under-carriage parts jewelled? If so, it's the first time I've seen that done to the bottom of a steel. Anyway, they sure look good.

Chuck, you did not misspell recipients. However, you did misspell mis spell. You asked. :D :D

Spelling aside, I fully agree that all are worthy but I'd like to see Paul win in this category again.

Sherman, Bonnie is no longer with us. She passed away in 2006 I believe; not long after her first husband, Buck Owens.

Those youtube videos are obviously not current.

Carey's condition touched me deeply as few others have done and I followed her battle closely from it's very beginning. My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the Heavner family. May your faith help you find peace.

Very nice John; I like it. Beautiful in it's simplicity (simplicity is by no means meant to be a negative here).

I don't think I've ever seen a lower profile pedal. It's the most comfortable pedal I've tried and about all I've used for quite a while.

I'd avise you to keep it.

David, I like it too!

Yes, the alder appears to be spalted. Spalting is caused by fungi in the wood. More often found in dead trees, it can also occur in trees living under stress. Nice save on the wood; spalted wood is highly prized by woodworkers.

If he's in Mobile on the 9th, the DSSG show is only an hour or so west on I-10 in Gulfport, MS. The show starts at 1:00 pm and looks to be a great show displaying a lot of diverse talent with some world class steel players. Your friend could very well hear as much steel at this one show as he will g...

"to have some good food and hear some great steel guitar music."

What an understatement! I visited with Hal last evening at James' Grill and it was time well spent.

The food and the music were both outstanding. Thanks Hal!
