He traded in the Bakelite for a new Fender Dual 8 in 1949, I still have the Fender.

My dad , Bill Flores on steel, Santa Barbara radio station KTMS 1930's,......no Hawaiians in group, all local guys.

I had the cassette version, since lost, it had Feets on a few vocalcuts and 2 instrumentals Moana Chimes and Hilo March, never reissued on cd as far as I know, LPs are online, pretty rare stuff. ...

Wow ,thanks for reply after so much time. Gabby on Maui Girl !! ... that track has the most swinging steel on the LP imho, but all have great playing on them.

I have had mine done by Seymour Duncan, you may call MJ at the their custom shop....but I think she has Seymour himself do them, that can take some time though.

Thanks Larry and Herb, another member asked the same questions. All I know is that the original 2 photos were found in a thrift store in Santa Barbara by a friend years ago. There was a stamp on back from a professional studio from Los Angeles, obvious from SoCal ethnic mix of group......that's all ...

Larry Campbell...there are some videos on YouTube of a young Larry with Doug Sahm, in Scandinavia , he switches from fiddle to pedal steel on a couple songs...excellent playing on both instruments.
