VanAmp Sole Mate

I used my newly purchased Van Amp Sole Mate on my gig last week and was very happy with the results. It worked great, performed as advertised. a very natural reverb effect.

High end Reverb unit

I just purchased a Van Amps Sole Mate off of Reverb.com. It's an analog spring reverb unit. It sounds very close to the reverb in the early Fender amps. I have a gig coming up and this weekend and will be able to make a better assessment of it then. So far it sounds very nice.

gary pierce wrote:Dave, I've had the same experience with the Wet reverb, and moved it to the fx loop which helped, and was also told by Neunaber to try a 12volt power supply to help this problem.

I also experienced the same problem.

Very Sad news indeed, he will be sorely missed. I had the honor of meeting him on a couple of occasions, he was always friendly and had a great sense of humor.

Tommy White with Lionel Richie

I agree with Alan, he hit the nail on the head. It was one of the best orchestrated music shows I have seen in many years. I have been a Lionel Richie fan forever. He is giving country music a shot in the arm that has been long overdue now for the last several years. Tommy was awesome, his steel was...

Way to go Mick! One of the best gifts a person can give is when you give of yourself and you have done that so well by sharing your knowledge and expertise with the entire steel community on your U-Tube videos. The steel, amp, and other gear you are giving away is just another wonderful example of y...

I too have found memories of Jeffs'class of 1979. He would often stand beside me, plug in his headphones and say "impress me". Then he would give me that special look of encouragement and tell me to keep working on my right hand blocking. He truly was a great teacher and a great musician. ...

I played steel and sax with Johnny for about five or six months. I'm not sure what number I was, I think I may have been # 8 or 9, I sort of lost track but it really doesn't matter. I have very fond memories of playing with The Urban Cowboy Band; Matt Harelik, Rocky Caron, John Laird, and Chad Phill...

I attended Jeff's week long college in May 79. I barely knew how to set up a steel then much less how to tune one. I too was overwhelmed, intimidated and wondered what I had gotten myself into; the pedal steel has to be one of the most difficult instruments there is to learn. Jeff was not only an aw...
