Bill helped me in Dallas a few years ago. I tried to pay him but he refused. He has always been willing to lend a helping hand.

One thing should be noted that he has been instrumental in helping young players get started. Hats off to a great human!!

A great man gone too soon. My first introduction to Steel Guitar was listening to the band play at Scotty’s. Scotty always mentioned Roy and he seemed bigger than life on those shows and records. Because He Was! After getting to know Roy and Barbara, it was great to see them as family. Roy’s service...

There were rumors that someone in Nashville made copies that looked like an ANNIVERSARY EDITION but the cast pedals were the determining factor as a genuine guitar made at the Emmons Factory in Burlington NC. Jack Strayhorn made all of them if my memory is right (Which is weak at the moment) If Jack...

I'm sorry to hear this news of Tommy's passing. I share numerous funny times with Tommy since the 1980s that kept both of us in "Stitches". The times we shared At Doug's café and at his home in Georgia are unforgettable. This has surely left a void in a lot of peoples lives, especially th...

Magic Genie

A man was walking along the beach and found a bottle. He looked around and didn't see anyone so he opened it. A genie appeared and thanked the man for letting him out. The genie said, "For your kindness I will grant you one wish, but only one." The man thought for a minute and said, "...
