I think we all get too busy to be mindful and thankful for the hard work others do to enrich our lives. This is a sad indictment of the times. I thank you for the videos and will try to help the cause by commenting on YouTube.

I could not write a decent song(melody or lyrics) if my life depended on it. I do,however, enjoy playing songs written by others. Does playing someone else's material diminish my efforts? I also have little interest in any song that isn't at least thirty years old. I have no problem with people playi...

Jeff, Even way back then you had that gleam in your eye for steel guitar. I knew you were going to make it; but, you have gone on to far surpass what I envisioned at the time. I remember the first time I saw you performing in the U.S. Navy band. I was so pleased and proud. I wanted to jump up and sh...

Pete, it has been awhile. You were remarkable back then and have gone on to become one of the A-list players in Nashville. I am so very proud of you. Bill, I am so glad that you have enjoyed the albums( about a thousand). I worry that they will hasten your mastery of the steel guitar. You are alread...

Johnny Bonvillian

What a treat to see a photo of Johnny. I used to listen to him in the late forties, and possibly early fifties over a station in Louisiana I believe. He was a terrific player. Does anyone know if he plays anymore?
