Sho~Bud S10s/Pro I’s with 2/2 changers?

Chris, if a string needing a second lower has an unused raise hole, or if an adjacent string has an unused lower hole, you might be able to make do with the "Bradshaw gizmo:"

ATA wheeled case for Sho-Bud S10

I need a rugged ATA-rated road case for a Sho-Bud S10 (6139, 6140, Pro I) with wheels. Looks aren't very important, as long as it is in good functional condition (hinges, latches, wheels, etc.).

aluminum Super Pro changer fingers

I would like to find a set of 10 aluminum Sho-Bud Super Pro-style changer fingers, preferably the complete finger assembly (later spring attachment style), but just the upper aluminum part without "scissors" or rivets would be okay. I need to ditch some pot metal ones (you can have them in...

The end plate and changer pocket on the Bud could have been milled out a lot more nicely, even with hand tools; but otherwise it's a creditable job, and I agree with Mike that the proof of the pudding would be in the playing. Sheesh, guys! Lighten up on the hate! And look at some of Shot Jackson's s...

Thanks, Bill. I don't actually need the changer parts -- mostly the neck and keyhead, as fretboards and tuners are easier to come by -- and meanwhile maybe you shouldn't foreclose your options....

Carter neck and key head

I need a standard "rolled edge" 10 string neck, key head and fretboard. Tuners are optional -- but if someone made themselves an SD-10 from a D-10, they may have the complete package for me: I'm going the other way!

I tune my second neck to A6 for two reasons: I like the positions on the neck for the keys I most often play in with the band where I use that neck/tuning the most; and I get most of my "6th" sounds in a "9th" tuning with A and B pedals down instead of lowering the E strings, so ...

Dan, if you are still following this thread that you started, and in case you weren't at the Bayside Bowl in Portland last night, you will be pleased to know that the soundguy du jour did a great job on the band ("Big Ass Rooster") in a tough room (the noise from the adjacent bowling lanes...

Brilliant! I was thinking of asking them about something like this, in searching for a compact double neck guitar. Glad to hear that they could work with the string spacing -- was that only because there are fewer than 10 strings? Interesting tuning choices. I have been messing with D9 ("semi-s...

Fostex D-160 questions

I use a Fostex D-160 hard disk recorder for "location" recording, and am in need of at least one more hard disk caddy. I believe that one for any of the "D" series recorders will work, although I might have to change the connector. Does anyone know where I might find any of these...

Not meaning to disparage it -- I had a single neck with Stringmaster pickups and it sounded really good, especially with both pickups blended evenly together. You just wouldn't want to be known around here as the guy who hacked up some pristine all-original Fender steel guitars to get there -- but i...
