The band were a local band I work in the local area. Great bunch of guys. Some of them like Reggie, worked with Ray Price and Hank Thompson. The drummer worked with Charlie Pride. The geetar picker worked with various big names. I was lucky to with these fine pickers.

I see Zane's picture in early years using a BMI. Zane Beck sent me a BMI when he was allowed to build geetars. He sold his ZB company and agreed to hold off building guitars for a while as part of the deal. So he sent me one as soon as he was building them. He sent me different pickups to experiment...

The guys I worked with, played for Johnny Paycheck, Merle Haggard, Ray Price and Charly Pride. So I had to be on my toes. But they liked the Carter sound.

if you get stuck playing a rock song, this might give you some ideas. It's a simple chord change and you can play around it pretty easy like I did. Ted

I played it straight like it was recorded. Many guitarist play it jazzed. It help put the steel on the map. A great dance song. It made $$ for the artists Santo and Johnny and the record company. the DVD I have, I played a ride in 'Pink Cadillac' using a fuzz. I noticed Zane did also. I sat in the the Leonard Skynerd new group and they like it pretty much. If Carl has time he may post it. Again to give ideas. Thanks. Ted

the 'guess' cover

The guitar is a Carter. I had some guys think it was an Emmons geetar. It plays very easy. But I do admit I do play simple.
