Nashville 1000 sounds just fine!
I use the Nash 1k in conjunction with The Steel Guitar Black Box and an MSA Millennium. I certainly like the sound. I also have a Fender Twin Reverb but in my opinion the Nash has a "better" sound. And yes, it can compete with a twin setup of 400`s. I would consider the 1k a safe buy but t...

Even though they`re still awesome, I kinda miss Hoot Hester in the setup. In my opinion he added something extra to the mix.

How much more expensive would an ebony guitar be if somebody were to take up the challenge and build one? I am aware that the wood is very hard to form and it chips easily. Maybe we now are back to the discussion about the body material of a steel guitar influencing the sound of a steel guitar. I li...

They still make - just not in Nashville.
There`s a lot of good, solid country out there but you have to buy CDs to hear it.
The "Indies" make it happen.
New music in the "old style" is not hard to find.
You just have to look for it.

Bear Family has done it again!
Hi Clive,
In 2006,The Bear Family Record company released a CD with 25 solo recordings which Bud Isaacs made for RCA in 1954-56, including the original version of Bud`s Bounce .
This CD really ought to be in every Steeler`s collection.

CMA Awards 2006
I Finally got to watch the CMA( YOU know what I really mean ) Awards 2006 over here. If that is supposed to be country music.. I am a fan of something else. The only uplifting point was Gretchen Wilson and the fact that Brad Paisley was nominated and got to WIN a couple of nominations. The rest was ...

Tastefully produced country music out of Texas
It seems all good things country emerge out of Texas these days. I just bought a CD with a young lady named Christine Mims on the Yellow Rose Label. In my opinion she delivers the most tastefully produced rendition of "Don´t Touch Me" I have ever heard. If you like really talented vocal wo...
