Matchbro bar
I am on the lookout for one of these as well. I thought rather than make a new post I would jump on here. But if anyone else has a Matchbro bar or equivalent type thing I would be interested in it. Thanks

Dave - thanks for that. I probably should have been more thorough in my description, but basically the whole point of the question was to see if anyone had done this and or had any thoughts about this before I re string AND re-rod the entire guitar. I realize it is a huge job, and I am not even sure...

thanks all - AJM - I was definitely thinking of doing this with a 12 string. I should have included the bottom string - but. I am really focused on would it work with the top EG#B triad. It does seem like everyone has the similar concern about whether that high B string would hold - especially with ...

Ext E9 idea
I play lap steel and dobro and I really miss not having the major triad on the top of the strings like in the E9 tuning. Has any one here played with adding a B after string 2. It would be something like F# D# [ B ] G# E B G# F# E D B I imagine I would have it react to A pedal as the other B's do. H...

With this type of changer, is it possible to have a lower pedal - or must they always be raises?

Fender Parts
Does anyone have any Fender 400 pedal steel parts lying around. I specifically need pedals and/or the pedal bar for the second generation Fender pedal steel.
Thanks for looking!

Fender replica fretboards
Is there anywhere to get replica Fender fretboards for old Fender steels. I seem to remember seeing that some one was making them, but I can't find any threads about that.

Stringmaster Parts
Hello Do you have any extra parts for that old Stringmaster project sitting around that you need to get rid of? I am looking for the plate that would hold the bridge and pickups to a Fender Stringmaster. If you have pickups in them too - that is great. Preferably I am searching for one from off of a...

I had a couple of requests for the changer end photos so here you go. Also, it is an Emmons set up and the guitar weighs 37 lbs in the case. Excel Superb S-10 with pad Guitar is in great condition. The only issue at all is that the vinyl on the pad is peeling off a little. Recently tuned up at Scottie's the guitar sounds and plays great. I comes with a case witch is covered in the same kind of rubbery vinyl covering as the pad (I was tol...

Bakelite Rick ?
Here is a pretty great performance from Ry Cooder from just the other day. He looks to playing on a Bakelite Body Rick - but he frets it too... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xabbXSog2Cs&feature=related Has anyone ever seen a Bakelite with a Spanish style neck? I know the Ricks have physical fre...

Great interview Mike - thanks a lot! I have one question maybe you can clear up. When he is talking about playing with the resonator gig with Janet Klein and her Parlor Boys - he had mentioned playing an A tuning. Then you talk to him about three other tunings all 8 string and none in A. Do you know...

We have a few here - Obviously Herb Remington is our local star. He plays around occasionally with a group called the Swing Kings. They used to play at Cosmos - but I have seen them play at the Mucky Duck for a pleasant rare treat Bart Maloney is a non-pedal convert. He has played pedal steel with a...
