Santa Cruz

For all of you in the Santa Cruz, California, area. I had a chance last week to hear what I thought was a great Hawaiian group called Island Breeze. I take it that they play quite a bit in the area. A lady named Patty was playing the non-pedal steel and did a great job. If you get a chance to see th...

Mike,

The steel player was Carco Claveria. I believe he lives in Nashville and has played with Asleep at the Wheel.

The bass player was David Tanner. Some time ago, he sold his law practice in Indiana and moved to Nashville to pursue music.

Both of them are very talented.

Richard,

What time of year did you have in mind? Also, annually? Or, a One-time thing?

It might be a fun thing to do if there were enough people interested. The logistics and timing might not be good at the same time as the Texas show. Maybe later in the year would be better.

Jim Peters,

Maybe you should read that letter again. My point is that Bradshaw absolved Reece of any wrongdoing.

What's your point?

Tom Olson, Jim Peters, The letter that Bradshaw posted above about Maurice Anderson was written, I believe, in 1993. In September of 2002 Bradshaw wrote the following and, on this Forum, provided a website link to it: To Whom it May Concern: During the last several years, a conflict between me, Maur...

Tom, You suggest that I rethink my post to Bill Hatcher wherein I said that his posts are informative and articulate; and, further, that it is beginning to appear that the steel guitar community is finally fed up with certain matters to which Bill referred. Those comments stand. It is the height of ...

Jim, MSA Pedal Steel Guitars LLC that was formed in 2002 ("MSA")has and had no obligation for any matters related to the "old MSA" that discontinued business sometime in the early 1980s. Nonetheless, because the MSA principals wanted to, they developed the RESOLUTION Process, a p...

I don't think you should have kept your mouth shut. By establishing this thread in the well done manner you have, you have framed some significant issues and have done a service for the steel guitar community.

Bill,

Your post above is yet another example of your informed and articulate writings and I applaud you for it. It is beginning to appear that the steel guitar community is finally fed up with the goings on to which you have referred.

Well done!
