Hi Trap,
Give Dave Beaty at TELONICS a call, or even an email.
He’s a member of the SGF.
I’m sure he would be glad to help.
All the best,
Murray.

I have had a Telonics TCA500-C and a Telonics volume pedal since late 2017.
The pedal and also the Amp are just brilliant. Great gear.
Yes, the pedal requires a power supply, but IMO that’s a small inconvenience for excellence!

I just use the built in reverb on my TCA-500 and a Boss DD3T in the parallel effects circuit. Just set it for one slap-back and its all good.
Works a treat!

Hi again Don, Another thing I remembered, after converting my Session 500 to a head unit, it had a hum that was very annoying. Turned out, the two chassis’ had to be insulated from one another. Probably an earth loop or something. Just a piece of gaffer tape does the trick. All the best with your co...

Hi Don, I have done the same with my 500. I used 3/8” ply for the head cab and it still weighed in at about 42 pounds (19kg). Great amp though. Just too damn heavy!! Depending on your pickups, you may need to use input 2 (lower gain), to avoid overdriving the first stage of the amp. Mine sounded a b...

Hi Jon,
My old ‘71 Sho~Bud Professional had the same pickups.
They were standard as far as I know. It was purchased new in ‘73 from the Sho~Bud shop in Nashville.

Hi Francesco,
I am pretty sure what you speak of is Paul’s PEDABRO.
Yes, built by his father, and has a very unique sound. It’s virtually a pedal Dobro.
All the best, with your search for one,
Murray.

I would love to own it, but I guess I’ll have to settle for the one I already have, thanks to you Bruce, for building it, and Paddy Long for steering me in the direction of Warren Nielsen (RIP).
Good luck with the sale Bruce,

I was thinking of doing the same to mine, before I purchased my Telonics TCA500C.
Good luck with the sale.

Hi Mickey,
Just a thought, is it possible to make it (The Video) downloadable?
The “snail mail” to Australia is pretty steady at the moment, and also very expensive. :x

Bill, have you tried input 2?
It’s lower gain. I had the same problem years age with a Session 500 after changing from a Sho-Bud to a Zumsteel. The Zum had much greater output and the signal was just too high for input 1. I swapped to #2 and all was fine.
