The Fryette is a good option but I've found that the Revelation sounds best with the Furlong Powered Cabs (CB12's I believe is the correct name). They are no longer made but you can find them occasionally here on the Forum.

Just experimenting with the Pre Amps on Pedal Steel. The TDXL was good right from the start. It is essentially the Pre Amp from the Fender Twin. The BMAN is the Pre Amp from the Fender Bassman amp. It was a little on the distorted side until I changed the 12AX7 tube to a 12AY7. Sounds good now. Not ...

Those amps are everything they say it is Jerry. Don't quite have the punch that the Fryette 2/90/2 does but also not as heavy but has plenty of power. Right now I'm testing it with a Synergy SYN2 with the TDLX and BMAN preamps. Very promising.

I put a D130 in mine and it sounded really good. The stock speaker is suppose to simulate a D130. Actual D130 sounded better. Little heavy though.

Mr. Papic of Promat did pass away and therefore the business closed. But the Promat was an identical duplicate of the Emmons Push Pull. Only difference was, it was built with metric measured parts.

On the Emmons there is an issue with the tuners fitting but it only applied to the first and tenth string tuners because the thickness of the keyhead necks down there slightly. Usually not an issue on fifth and sixth. Sounds like perhaps someone has tightened the nuts too much and ruined the threads.

My Promat is a twin to Andy's except for chrome keys. I've not seen or heard Andy's however mine is everything he said about his. It is one of the finest playing and sounding guitars I have. If his is twin to mine in every respect, this is one fine instrument.

You'll be suprised how close the E9th and C6th is to one another. When working with the C6th, don't block out your E9th moves.

This combination is everything Scott says here. He's right in that the Revelation speaks for itself. But coupled with the Fryette really enhances the response. Nice clean HUGH tone. Also great price on both.
