Mike Nesmith did a gig just last week in Marfa, Texas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marfa,_Texas and streamed it live on his website at the time. Greg Leisz on steel, Shawn and Sarah Watkins playing guitar and fiddle, Benmont Tench on piano. This was a further extension of a gig that they played at ...

you would probably need a plug in to do that.
I use Serrato pitch 'n time, which would solve both your problems.

It's expensive, but there are other cheaper plugins that do the same, but I'm only familiar with this one.

My last project I recorded direct, using only the Black Box, before the preamp. I ended up sending my aiff files to a Pro Tools studio in another city where the cd was being recorded. I recorded to Pro Tools (LE), through an Apogee A/D converter and a Brent Averill 1272 preamp. I always record dry a...

Here is a radio interview from 2 weeks ago on a show called Samm Brown's For the record. KPFK FM in this podcast, he interviews Blaine, and several others from the wrecking crew, as well as Tedesco's son, I believe. It's an hour long, but it's very informative, and Hal Blaine is very funny. http://6...

Re: mystery
thanks for the update on Hotel Honolulu, i was puzzled and did not think the steel guitar playing was up there in the greg leisz class... wonder why this CD has the erroneous credits... Greg was going to play on it, but didn't in the end, and the producer evidently sent his name to the printer, way...

I guess I can reply to this one. I was in a bass player in a band in the late sixties, and we had rehearsals in Bo's studio-garage, in Chatsworth. He actually was our manager. It was about that time that country-rock was developing, and we asked Bo if had any old pedal steels lying around, and amazi...
