Phil Koontz(?)

Last week, we were doing a private party and a guy named Phil Koontz (?)introduced himself to me. He said he plays in Branson for Jean Shepard. Nice guy, but I had never heard of him. Can anyone fill me in on him?

Though he was old, he was still kinda lively
He tried to play steel, for over 50 years
But there was no one there to shed any tears

Larry,
I just typed a long explanation on how I have mine set up and this miserable computer just lost my connection. Give me a call at 740-335-8945 and I'll just tell you how I have mine done. Really works good. I might be able to help. Worth a shot.

Thanks for the in-put guys. I did take the pot apart and clean it and that helped a bunch but there is a dead spot (almost dead) at the very low end. I can live with that until I get a new one, which is going to be right away. Thanks again

What's the best way to clean a scratchy pot (other than cover it with fur),in my volume pedal? Should I just replace it or can it be cleaned?

Bill,You can get Danish oil at Ace Hdware, Lowe's. etc. It's not as durable as some other wood sealers but should work fine on your fret board. Apply 2 or 3 thin coats and buff in between coats I use it to finish some furniture. Sure makes wood look pretty

Compensators

I have been having trouble with the strings returning to original tuning after raising/lowering. So I am considering putting compensators on. Don't have a problem with the C6th. I have a D10 Emmons 8/8. Any suggestions? Thanks Roger
