Many thanks John. never thought of doing this instrumentally, but have always loved this song. And, John tabs it so well. Simply excellent.

Mullen G2 Pick-ups

Thinking of ordering a G2 in the near future, and would like to know which pick-ups some of you G2 players prefer. Appreciate your responses.

Evans reverb

Randall, Lane, Jack: Thanks for your responses. I see I'm not the only one with the problem. My model is E200 and not SE200; if there's a difference there, which I wouldn't know. Other than this problem, the amp is really killer. I'm using a Dispatch Master reverb/delay pedal made by Earthquaker Dev...

Evans reverb

I have an Evans E200 amp on which the reverb is not very effective. Have to turn it up to 8-9 to get even slight reverb. Reverb can is short. Circuit doesn't make any extraneous noises. Otherwise, amp is very good. Any ideas what the problem(s) might be?

Joe, I'm sure glad you're not going away. You provided excellent leadership for 3 years, as every session we had was a big success. Thanks. And you're leaving it in good hands to continue. Hope I can make this one. Depends on x-ray results April 1.

I managed to make it home on pass for a few hours. I will still be in the rehab facility for a while. The Dr. said too early for x-rays, and won't take any till April 1. I'm up and around on a walker, so I hope to make the session in April. To play is another question. Hate to miss it!!

Carter D10 9/7

I sold this steel to Larry. I ordered it at the March, 2004 show, Irving. Received it in May, 2004. The pick-ups are XLR-16's, and it does have split tuning. All pulls were accurate/positive. Plays as easy as any steel I've had (about 15). If I still had the money I would buy it back!

1997 Mullen Pre-RP, 1st string issue

I use my LKR lever to raise my 1st and 2nd strings (F# to G#, and D# to E); and to lower my 6th string to F#. All OK except if I tune the 1st string up to G# with the nylon tuning nut, it returns much too sharp and I have to lower it back to F# with the keyhead tuner. Chasing my tail. Anyone?
