On the third scale, the 9th string is missing the vertical lines which separate the measures. Otherwise it looks great to me.
But inquiring minds want to know: "Are you going to build a copedant into it?"

I don't think there is an E9 button on the pitch change menu. In Score\Instrument menu in the Module Screen there is a block which has fiddle, dulcimer, etc as choices but you can type in PSG C-6 there. Make sure the Pedal Steel Guitar Box is checked. In the Tuning Screen of that same menu, you can ...

Jim - You're right. Sliding from one fret to another with pedals engaged at both frets does work but from (or to) open-to-pedals just results in the sound of the first note and the sum of the durations. I e-mailed Matthieu about this and will post his response here when I receive it. I don't recall ...

Whoa! I see this happens on C6. (Guess which neck I'm stuck on.) I tried raising the string pitch an octave which gets rid of the bass cleff for all notes but I get glitches on the high E string and can't raise it a full octave. I e-mailed Matthew about it and hope there is a solution. If so, I'll p...

Sounds like you have somehow added a bass clef instrument or a piano. Check the upper right corner of your screen. There is a small window with the name of an instrument in it and and small numbered boxes. Click on those boxes to get their description screen and see if one of them is listed as a bas...

Thanks for the help, John. I tried that MIDI dump early on with both MIDI file types. The JS-5 will not accept them. Perhaps I'm dumping them incorrectly. I can play simple MIDI files by streaming out of the computer to the JS-5 MIDI input but I can't store them. My computer is a recent model Dell w...

Playing MIDI Files
Many music composition programs, including TABlEdit, will generate a MIDI file which can be played through a PC or even burned to a CD. The CD route is certainly more portable but tempo can't be varied for practice and the lead can't be easily dropped in or out. I'm wondering if there is a piece of ...

Randy fabricated parts for an MCI I bought (unseen) and had to repair before it could be played. Not only was he a wealth of knowledge but very patient with a newbie. The parts arrived quickly, looked great and fit perfectly. He's now building me a new VLC D-10, 8+5, keyless in black (for improved t...

If there is a brass sleeve on the shaft of the pot, you might try removing it. My Sho-Bud pedal would only open 75-80% until I removed the sleeve. Jack Stoner's comments on string tension and turns are also important. I used 3 turns and dogged the string down fairly tightly on mine. Ensure that the ...
