Buddy's gear was very unique. His amp & speakers had been part of the Dead's "wall of sound". Altough it showed many years of road duty, his rig had some pretty historical & sentimental value to it... who can replace a piece of musical history?

WOW! The Peavey Fairies came last night and fixed my amp!

In a previous post, I asked help with my Sessions 400 amp. This evening, I turned it on and low and behold it sounds fine! Really! Perhaps the pots were so dirty, and it took overnight for the Deoxit D-5 to soak in and clean the crud from them. Thanks to all!

Thanks for the inputs. I went through the verious things mentioned (it does not have the patchs). Hosed it down with the Deoxit D-5, but alas, it still sounds pretty ill. Should it go back to Peavey? Or to a local dealer?

Hey Mike, until about 20 years ago, you could buy an Oliver tractor at Puckett's. They are located in Derita which at one time was a little farming community, but has long since been eaten up up by a sprawling Charlotte. They started serving beer about that time, and still have their old customers. ...

Small Amp Advise needed....

I'm starting to shop around for an amp and think I want something small and easy to tote. I have read on the forum that the Nash-400 are the way to go for my first one, but was wondering if there are some smaller ones that will do well in small venues. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
