I go to the convention just as much for the staff band as for the steel players! I am actually a piano player but have been coming to the convention for years. I remember my dad bringing me as a little girl. Great memories - great place for musicians and music lovers of all kinds to gather! Looking ...

One Day Ticket Cost?

Planning on coming to the convention. I'm sure it's on here somewhere but can someone tell me what admission is this year? Just for Saturday.

Thanks!

Thanks for that, Bobbe. I knew Ken Mellons wasn't all that bad - he was wearing a black Sho-Bud T-shirt! Lucky you for having such a great employee - lucky him for having such a great place to work! Danny and the band sounded great.

Ken Mellons' steel player Dapper Dan

Had the pleasure of catching Ken Mellons in concert in Leroy, IL tonight. Ken and the whole band put on one heck of a great country show. I didn't catch the steel players name, but I know Ken called him Dapper Dan and he played an Emmons. He was great! As a matter of fact, the whole band sounded gre...

My favorite set of the whole show was Tim Patterson. He had a band made up mostly of family members. His daughter has a beautifully powerful voice! The music was so soulful and good. I felt like I had gone to a black church! They had the Robinson Family keyboard player join them (I think he has also...

Nope, no Bobby Flores this time. But the two guys and a gal he did have sounded grrrreat.

Thought it was neat how much Ray had Mike play. He gave him lots o' solos.

Ray turned the band loose on "Fly Me To the Moon" which I really enjoyed.

Yes, it was a real treat to see and hear Mike playing with Mister Ray. It's no wonder why he has that gig. Loved the entire show - and so did everyone else, according to all the standing o's and plentiful applause. Keep up the great work, Mike! We're happy for you.

Hi Jimmy and Starla, We're enjoying listening to your show tonight. Hey, you guys sang a duet on stage at the last convention and I'm trying to figure out what the name of it was. I also had a great time at the CISGA show at the Rosebowl Sunday. Dyke, Billy, Bob, John, Dave, and Lyle all sounded great on their steels. Good to have such a nice turn out for it too. Lyle, the drummers names are Jimmy Willis and Bo Bobell. They both did a fine job, as usual. Looking forward to th...

Lyle, looking forward to seeing you and everyone else there!
