Everett- Thanks so much for the kind words. We really find it a compliment when you and your mother make the trip down to our show. I have printed off what you had to say, and am planning to add it to our OVO scrap book. We strive to make the show-in the audience and backstage- a family show. If we ...

Man what a show we had last night.
The crowd was down a little because of the heat and lots of county fairs and things going on in the region, but the band was kicking! All the singers were awesome. What a time. Great job to Mike, it was nice having you back!

Dave, McConnelsville is an old Civil War era town with lots of really cool things to see. Antiques, quaint shops, good restaurants, etc. I'm not sure if it would fit the bill for a "shopping excursion", but the heart of Amish country is only an 1 hour drive north of us, and all the ladies ...

Dear Friends: My family finally has a web site up and running. It is www.marvinclarkfamily.com . We still have some work and a few adjustments to make though. You probably don't have a little girl in your band, but if you do, How Far Is Heaven, I think originally by Kittie Wells- is a major tear jerker. My little one does this song, and we get more requests for it than any other song we do.

The banjo player was Barry Abernathy (sp?).
He is awesome. Won a few awards for banjo player of the year at SPBGMA a few years back. He was with Doyle Lawson and Quick Silver at that time. He's great.

Charlie Louvin can out-sing, out-write, out-perform just about any other act I have ever seen on the Opry. There may be some folks, regardless of their age, who need to move on, but it is certainly not him. Obviously, I am a huge fan of his, and totally enjoy any air play that he gets. You may not b...

Who's playing the ET Record Shop/Midnight Jamboree that night?
Always a good place to go, if you have nothing to do at midnight, and it's free. Real close to the Nashville Palace, too.
