I was really looking forward to playing at this show but as it turns out I have eye surgery on October 25th so I had to cancel. I am sure it will be a good show and I hope to be able to do it next time.

Mac Watkins and I were very good friends. We worked together in Atlanta, GA at a club called country green with George Owens. The bass player was Bill Benton, who also died the same week as Mac. Both were good musicians and dear friends. RIP guys I will miss you.

Bill Benton Passed away March 21,2012. He was an outstanding bass player living in Atlanta, GA. He worked with Dick Flood, Del Reeves and many others. RIP Bill.

I have known and loved Wayne since 1967. we have shared many laughs and played a lot of music together. I will always remember him and his humor and wonderful smile. He was a wonderful friend and I will miss him. He will never be forgotten and always loved. Rest in Peace my friend.

Jerry Braswell has been one of my favorite singers for many years and he is also a good bass player. I knew him when he was just a teen. We went to Nashville about the same time. He has always been a good friend and a very talented musician.

Olin Ivey, Keyboard player for the George Britt Band, passed away January 7 after suffering a massive heart attack at the New Years Eve gig in Anniston,Alabama. Very Sad News. I had the opportunity to play with Bobby several years ago. I wll never forget him and what a fine gentleman and great musician he was. He will be missed. Our loss is heaven's gain. Rest In Peace Bobby.
