According to Jim, the Dean Resonator is a great bang for the bucks guitar. Prefering it over the Amistar/Johnson. Something to look into, thanks for the tip.

Has anyone played the Amistar's yet? A metal body that has an affordable price tag. Wonder how the sound is on the tri-cone, and the f-hole n body ?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that my Fender Champ is a 6string Lap Steel.

My old Fender Champ is in fairly Good shape, still, not like looking at something in mint condition. Should I consider having it refinished, or simply look at a few Mojo nicks.
