I'm not totally tech up to speed here, but why do you want to convert them to WAV files and not MP3? Aren't WAV files typically WAY larger than MP3 files? If your only goal is to listen to the audio and not do any editing, you're going to be eating up a lot of memory. And using up a lot more CD spa...

Austin 400 cutting out. It seems to happen almost randomly. It will get very quiet or inaudible, and remain that way until I pick or strum really hard (sending a lot of signal) which makes the amp suddenly return to full volume.
