ZB D-10 Brumley Era
This ZB actually used to be tinted blue, but faded to a natural finish long before I acquired it. I find it just doesn't fit me, so I'm letting it go to someone else. It's got 8 pedals, 4 knees. It's in good shape; pickups are strong, coil taps work. Disclosure: It has some minor finish scratches, t...

Do you lubricate the threads on the changer rods and turnbuckles, say with Tri-Flow P.T.F.E.? That would make it easier to adjust them. And do you chase the threads with taps and dies? That would take two taps and two dies, as one side is threaded left-handed. I don't plan on making a career of reha...

Eric, before getting your reply, I disconnected raise and lower rods, as well as the return spring from string 8, E neck. The changer seemed to move freely. I reassembled the unit and tried pushing the tuners with a 5/32 Allen wrench. When I push the lower, the raise tuner moves with it and the stri...

Latest Glitch
https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2203/1991_Underside_122022_2.jpg Well, I'm back to the long and winding restoration of this ancient artifact. I've now got all the pieces put back in, as far as I can tell. I haven't checked the tuning and correctness of the C neck yet, but I've found a situat...

Eric, Richard - Thank you for your responses! Excellent ideas. I'm flipping the center mount and re-drilling the bellcranks. When I pulled the center mount I saw that it really needs polishing to fit in with the other hardware. I contacted a local motorcycle shop (as far as I can tell, the only one ...

P1–3 pic
https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2020-03/1991_P13_Crossbars_sm_2.jpg Yes, the screws in the flat crossbars, attaching to the center strap (or whatever). On P2 (the B pedal), the first 10-32 screw holes in both the flat crossbar and the center piece to which they attach are stripped. Using my ...

B & C Crossbar threads stripped
I'm now finding that the 10-32 screw holes in both the crossbars for pedals B & C (the screw holes closest to the front of the guitar) and center strap are stripped. There are three on each assembly. On the B pedal, I can push the screw all the way in without turning at all; C pedal screw turns ...

15 in. Speaker Baffle for Fender BF Twin Reverb -SOLD
If you'd like to change your Twin Reverb from two 12 in. speakers, this 15 in. speaker baffle from Mojotone will allow you to do it; just add speaker of choice. It's in excellent condition; the vintage-style grill cloth is perfect. Does not have a Fender logo on it. Slightly offset from center to cl...

Thanks again, all; I'm more comfortable about how the changer rods attach to the yokes, though both examples I've seen in this thread have the changer rod/yoke connections the other way. Eric, when you moved the yokes to the underside of the crossbars did you pivot the positioning of the changer rod...

https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2020-03/1991_P4__7_Crossbars_sm_1.jpg This is the P4–7 setup as I received the guitar so long ago. Wouldn't it make more sense to turn over the cross pieces the changer rods attach to so the rods are pulling directly? Rather than being behind the pivot post?...

JH Solo Time Jumpers Live
John, I tabbed out that soulful John Hughey solo in the Time Jumpers' version of Sweet Memories with Dawn Sears singing. I was going to post it in the Tab section, then saw that you'd posted the JH / BF version (of which I wasn't aware). Well, we don't need that many different tabs of the same song ...

Tony, I heard that hum and was wondering what could be done about it. Looks like not much without major surgery. I don't intend to force this amp into something it's not; if we don't organically fall in love with each other it may soon be time to release Delta to find her true partner. I appreciate ...

Peavey Delta Blues - Better Speaker for Steel
I picked up a used Peavey Delta Blues 1-15 amp. With an output of 30 watts, I was thinking I'd use it for steel for smaller gigs. It's lacking a certain sparkling clarity in the highs, no matter what settings I use. Well, it's a guitar amp, not a pedal steel amp. Anyone have experience swapping out ...

Crossbar machine screws
I found it difficult to reassemble the crossbars and get the machine screws into the center strap, if that's what it's called. (If a picture would help to identify the parts, there are a few earlier in this thread.) The screws just didn't want to start and were hard to turn. I went to the local hard...

Tuner mounting screws
OK, after rehabbing the Kluson tuning machines with Naptha, then Sil-Glyde (a NAPA product recommended by Lynn Stafford), I'm ready to reinstall them into the... uhh, pieces that hold the tuners, whatever they're called. I notice that the tuners were attached with sheet metal screws. Is that how ZB ...
