JHS Color Box V2

Really cool, very powerful pedal. Basically a Neve 1073 preamp. Can be used as a drive or EQ shaper. I used it with recording interfaces and in front of a Ganz Straight Ahead for a couple shows and it worked great. Also a great DI preamp for keys, vocals, drums, you name it. Just hasn't been getting...

Looking for a Blanton volume pedal. Made to fit in Blanton pedal bar bracket. Long shot but might as well try.

Thanks to all who chimed in. Goin down to a .020p string was enough to allow the correct amount of slack to raise and lower string 6. All timed up and ready to roll!

I did wonder if that was the case. The set I strung the guitar with uses a .022w 6th string. I have some single .020p strings I usually swap these with for another guitar, wondering if I should do the same here. Thanks Richard.

String 6 Push Pull

I'm currently re-rodding a Push Pull that has the 'typical' 6 string lower (G# to F#) and am running into an issue of the B pedal not having enough slack to allow the changer finger to drop all the way to the lower screw (changer was tuned prior to rodding per Clem Schmitz guide). When the raise rod...

Adjustable Changer Axle Location

I am currently fixing up an old guitar that has a changer axle that is adjustable. I have seen a few photos on some older guitars with the same design. Its torn down now and being cleaned, just seeing if there is anything to consider when reassembling. I know this will effect the scale length, but m...

Need Push Pull Maintenance Guide

Is there any available Push Pull maintenance guide out there? Book, PDF, blog, forum thread, stone tablet? I have a non-Emmons Push Pull that needs to be stripped down, have the changer cleaned, some parts gone through, small copedent changes, etc. I haven't worked on an Emmons, or any other Push Pu...

I started using a Jay Ganz Straight Ahead 500W amp (small enough for a pedal board) and a JHS Color Box V2 when I dont want to carry my Session 500 head. I chose the Color Box for its versatility. It feeds the Ganz amp enough dB pre amp gain and has 3 band EQ with shifting. Another plus, it can also...

Thanks for the advice and information y'all. I'll be sure to measure the threads and compare to find out if they are rolled or cut. If rolled, seems like what Bobby mentioned about re-bending the hooks is a better option.

Threading Pedal Rods

I'm working on a Carter that was 1" oversized and need to reduce the pedal rods to standard length. I put a thread gauge on the existing threads and know its 32 TPI. After doing some digging to find the typical pedal rod size, I pulled out the 10-32 die to extend the threads down an inch (to th...

MCI C6 Parts

Putting this back out there. Looking to buy parts to fully rebuild the back neck on an MCI. Would need pretty much everything that you would remove to convert it from D10 to SD10 as I'm looking to make an SD10 back into a D10. Changer, rods, cross shafts, pedals, pedal rods, key head, neck, etc. etc...

Split Session 500 - Tommy Huff

Just wanted to give a shout out to Tommy Huff and his incredible work. He did an amazing job with splitting my Session 500. The weight is much more manageable, it looks great, and all that tone is still there. Thanks Tommy! Highly recommend him for any amp projects you may need. https://bb.steelguit...

This may have been covered more than once, but I can’t seem to get the winding correct. I have a Goodrich 120 that was not wound when I received it, see pictures. Pick Up Mounting

I am currently servicing my D10 EMCI that I have been playing for a couple years now. I have taken care of the pedals, changer clean and lubrication, and general sprucing up. Here is my issue: The pickups are not original, but I enjoy the tone of the BL-705 (correct if wrong). But both pickups sit v...
