Keyhead Length

Hello everyone, I'm thinking about starting a new build and its going to be nothing like I ever tried before, part of my upgrade from my pervious steels, I'd like to try and make a single one piece keyhead design instead of my three piece deign that I have now. I have an idea about some rough dimens...

Thanks Tim, no I didn't follow a plan, just built a couple guitars over time and tweaked the design as I went and jotted rough notes down. My first couple guitars were very sloppy so it wouldn't be embarrassed about anything, everyone gotta start somewhere, Thanks Andy, I think I seen this first on ...

I tune the 2nd string to C# then raise to D# with RKR and planning on to add another knee lever (LKL O) to raise the C# to D, it was the way most of the greats did it to work around the double lower on PR or PP guitars.

Custom Fretboard Decals

Who makes custom fretboard decals? I usually use Carter starter fretboards but I want to start using my own design for my guitars from now on! I use a 24" scale, the width at the nut is 2 11/16" and the width towards the changer end is 3 1/4".

Planning on getting the colours on the new guitar this weekend, should see some progress pictures soon. I'm planning on doing red stain with black necks, I don't have the best lacquers and paints available but I'm hoping it'll still look nice.

I remember seeing clips on youtube of Harry Hibbs, and his backup band was Johnny Burke's band "Eastwind" and Bob Lucier was playing steel, it was probably the first real glimpse of the instrument I seen, and the background playing he did behind the accordion on some songs were amazing.
