What model Supro is this ? 6 string all wood
Can anyone identify this all wood Supro ? All of my other Supros are fiberboard type with MOTS finish and usually the same type of pickup/bridge/volume/tone plate. This has a pickup/volume/and screw in cord seperate from the bridge. Bridge is similar to the one on my Gibson Console Grand except for ...

Hi Adrian, I remember the chord progression and acitate record being printed in Guitar Player magazine in the late 80's. I was only interested in the guitar part back then, I didn't play steel yet. I wish I could find that magazine. I know it's in a box some where. I'll try to find the issue and sen...

I just enjoy non-pedal steel sound more. It's fun to do bar slants, hammer on's, and pull off's. The only pedal I use is a Bigsby Vol./Tone Pedal. (eat your hearts out knob grabbers http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif just kidding). I also think no two non-peddler's ever sound alike. Here's a few ...

Hi Danny, I've seen many Magnatone lap steels, moslty six strings and many different pickup styles. I have a Magnatone Maestro triple neck 8 string. All wood, necks are the same thickness unlike my other multi-neck steels. The table they're mounted to are routed to different depths to make each neck...

Last time I talked with Lee he wanted to spend more time with his family. I'm looking forward to seeing Jimmy Roy with Big Sandy, I've opened up and sat in with both Big Sandy and Ray Condo, Jimmy should fit in quit well. I haven't seen Lee in while and was out of town the last time they played in S...

Hi Richard, I was wondering if you could describe you '55 Stringmaster T-8. I had one years ago that I haven't found any pictures of. No different from the one I have now, except it had what they call lollie pop tuners. The tuner buttons were round it also had chrome pickup covers instead of black p...

Hi Blake, I been messing with the SHUBB bullet nose Stevens bar for about a week now and have absolutely no problems with it. They also make a shorter one, if your use to using your thumb at the back of to kick it out for forward and reverse slants. It's also very highly polished so it does sound ni...

Jody I don't mean any dis-respect, but where is the dis-advantage of not having pedals ? Non-pedal steel is my instrument of choice. I think the tone is much different when playing the same songs on pedal steel. I love the challenge of three and four fret bar slants, (forward or back) and the excite...

Thanks for your replies, Michael and John. I already use an E13th tuning with a G# on top. Recently I seen someone asking for Lee Jackson's E9th tuning. He's been a friend for about 4 years, but I had my wallet stolen at the airport last Nov. which had my phone book with Lee's and all the members of...
