Franklin Pedal Tuning

Thanks Dale. Exactly what I was looking for. I thought tuning the F# flat (below the open F# at 441) would work well since I have tried it, and it sounded good. I'll continue to work on the A lowers on 5 and 10 by ear.

Franklin Pedal Tuning

I tune my open 1,4,5,7,8,10 to 441 Hz and my 3,6 at 438 Hz. My franklin on P4, I'm not sure what Hz to use on the lower of the 5,10 from B to A and the 6 from G# to F#. Should my 6th string lower to F# be the same as the open F# on string 7 (at 441) or something else? And should my 5 and 10 lower fr...

To Study

Thank you John. I will look into either one. I'm glad I got a recommendation first.

Live Lesson in Nashville Week of 10/4/21

Hi. I will be traveling to Nashville the week of 10/4/21 and am looking for someone to give me a live lesson or two during that week, just a one hour session. Any recommendations?

I settled on a '75 Fender Twin Reverb

I was able to find a '75 Twin Reverb in very good condition for around $900. All original with the Fender Blue Label speakers. I had my vintage amp professional go thru it, Had a few cold solder joints and the tube bias was way off. For another $100, I have what I've been looking for. Clean power, p...

Thanks Tony

It appears that whenever the Tube Amp discussion comes up many of us revert to VOLUME, such as a Twin Reverb is really loud or maybe TOO LOUD. We read this often on forums, even the 40 watt HRD is TOO loud many say. Then they follow with " all you need is a Deluxe Reverb" which is a 22 wa...

Re: Ajm

AJM, I'm not a professional, but I do play out on occasion when I have the opportunity. I'm a converted guitar player (still play) and only have 4 years experience with the PSG, and working hard at getting better. I've always used a tube amp, and only bought the Peavey since none of my amps fit the...

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I like it loud and clean. Musically, I like all kinds, so I play whatever. Weight is not a problem either.

Recommendations for a good PS Tube Amplifier

I'm considering a new tube amp for my Mullen G2. One with plenty of head room. I have a Peavey Session 115 and really do like it. But I don't have a good tube amp that's specific for the PSG. I prefer to have both a solid state and a tube amp for go-to's. I've heard Milkman is a good one, but have n...

Mesa Boogie Responses

Thank you all for the insightful replies. they are all consistent with what I have experienced. I have the old Maverick Dual Rectifier. I've played it on both rectifiers, and like the one comment "I cant tell a difference", neither can I. My amp is very clean, and of course you can get dis...

Does Anyone Use a Mesa Boogie Tube Amp for their Steel?

I am using a Mesa Dual Rectifier Amp for my Mullen S10. Its quite a powerful amp and it has a switch to convert from a tube to a solid state sound. Are there many players that use a Mesa for their PSG? I also recently purchased a Peavey Session 115 with the 115 speaker cabinet. I see a lot of player...

Would anyone have a tab for Deanna Carter's Strawberry Wine song? I believe its played in C#, although some play it in C.
