Dropping the price
I can't believe NO ONE is interested in this fine instrument. Did I mention it sounds great and looks great?
I'll drop the price to 450.00 plus shipping for steel guitar forum members only. It's still 550.00 on Craigslist.

Allen Melbart 8 String Console
Beautiful maple, hand-made in America, Allen Melbart console steel guitar. 8 strings. Jerry Wallace Tru-Tone single coil PU sounds fantastic. Got raves from the local steel guitar club. Three steel legs, ajustable. Bought new from Allen Melbart less than two years ago for 650. This was a reduced pri...

Goodbye, Buddy
I was lucky enough to study with Buddy for two years in the 90's. What a joy to sit across a steel guitar from this man. His understanding of jazz harmony was exceptional. I also loved hearing his stories. He told me that I should never leave my bar on the steel. I asked him why. He told me of one t...

Tripod Idea for Lap Steel
I have a high quality Manfrotto tripod for my camera with a quick release that screws into the bottom of the camera. I thought it would be easy to cut a piece of wood to match the body of my 6 string ( that I converted into a steel with a nut extender), put a capture nut into the wood that matched t...

Here is the response from the Craigslist Poster
I emailed the Craigslist poster and here is the reply: "We have an album cover that shows speedy west with this model. Thats all. It has labels all over it and the tuner is engraved with speedy west. You will have to draw your own conclusions. We have been asking around. It is labeled as speedy...

Oh, Yeah...The Price is right
It's going for 1500. Very cheap, I would say, for a piece of history.

Thanks Bill. I'm having a similar experience. I'm not worried about the settings being a little different. Here is one of Jeff Newman's presets: 0 – MightyGood: 3B+CF+DL+RV 3B= Ty=Guitar, Lo=+35, Mfrq=750Hz, Mid= -40, Hi=+20 Ouput Level (+) = 100 What is that Output Level???? Do I have that on the P...

Help with Profex I
Just bought a ProFex I....it's great. Got Jeff Newman's presets off the web and have some questions. What's the difference between series and parallel? I understand in theory, but are some effects better one way or the other? Also, I was always told compressor first, delay last. Are there other &quo...

I recorded my Tele direct with a line 6 pod and got a fabulous sound...it was better than a 64 deluxe that I cut other parts with! The only thing I found is that I loved the Tweed sound, and maybe the blackface sound and could live without the rest, which is a lot of baggage to pay for. ------------...

I do websites for a living. Here's my advice. Do not use FrontPage. Period. You will run into too many deadends. I use something called Homesite from Allaire that will help you by showing you the options for each tag you are using and to a certain extent will generate code for you, but you should kn...

I had a Dr Rhythm from Boss for a long time when I had a Tascam home studio. It was easy to figure out, had 100 or so preset patterns and sounded great. Since it was so good, I've been thinking about getting their version of Band in a Box (not sure what it's called) that does bass and piano along wi...

Confused about Tab
I just bought some old Emmons tab and I'm confused about two things. What does "t" mean? I assume it's a knee lever, but aren't they "D" "E" "F", etc.?
Also, there are numbers below the tab....1, 2...what does this mean??
thanks,
LowellG
