Real steel in Nashville

https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2203/19173_MCBAR_Playboys_1.jpg Wife and I visited Music City Bar & Grill last week, and it could not have been better! When my daughter told Rusty I was an old steeler from upstate NY, he was very kind. Sat down and talked with us for a while and told us ...

Live steel in Nasville

Andrew, just a suggestion. My favorite group is Robby Muzic, usually at AJ's on lower Broadway on Tuesday nite for the late shift. He usually has Eddy Lange on steel and Kevin Key on lead, and they always do some really great 90's and older country.

Re: The Nashville Scene!

Hey, gang! Does anybody out there have copies of the TV show, “The Nashville Scene” ? The show ran weekdays 5:30 am - 6:00 am for 12 weeks, 60 episodes, running from Monday, 1/2/78, to Friday, 3/24/78. Grady Martin & Buddy we’re the band leaders. If you do or know where I can find copies, let m...

Lightening the Load

Chris, Thanks for the reply. I did a little research on just replacing the speaker as you suggested, but it looks like the newer light weight models might only be a few pounds less than the factory speaker, so it probably wouldn't help much if that info is correct.

Lightening the load

Thanks to Ricky, Carl and Jerry for the quick responses. Looks like the rack mount deal is out, but I will email about the split cases right now to see if that might work out for me. Thank you very much for the suggestions.

Lightening the load

Hey fellow steelers - reaching the age where it's getting too hard to lug all this heavy stuff to the gig. I'm using a NV112 for both the Tele and the steel , but lifting the 112 into and out of the van is getting a lot harder on the old back. Just had a thought about splitting the 112 between the h...

FLA trip

John,
Thanks so much for the reply. Absolutely LOVE to see Teea and Red, and it looks like a real easy get-off from 75 to stop in. Hope to see you, probably try to get in there on Friday afternoon. Thanks, again for the info.

Country music in Fort Myers this weekend

We'll be travelling to Fort Myers this coming weekend for 3 or 4 days. Just wondering if there are any of you FLA steelers with country bands playing in that immediate area.

double ended tuning wrench

Can anyone tell me where to buy a double ended tuning wrench like the one Mickey Adams uses in his tutorial, with the 3/16" hex on the one end and the split tuning allen on the other end ?

Thanks Gene and Jerry. I was able to repair the threads as suggested, and am back in business again. You guys are a great resource for all of us less-than-mechanically expert pickers out here. Thanks, again.

Yes, Jerry. That's the one I messed up. Do you know what thread chaser I would use to try to repair the threads ?

Fessy leg rod

Have a fairly new (2018, I think) Fessy SD10, and have messed up the threads on one of the rods that connect the pedal to the changer shaft. I checked with Fessenden, but he said they have none. Would anybody have one they could sell me ? PM or text me at 585-216-7749. Thanks. Mark Yeomans Rochester...

Ray on the nsteel

When I was stationed at Minot AFB way up in freezing North Dakota, Ray brought his Cherokee Cowboys twice for show in a high school auditorium, was 1964 and 1965 during the winters. Both shows included a bit where Buddy stood up to sing a tune, and Ray sat at his steel and made some horrible noises,...
