All-in-one flight case for Simmons S-10
Hey y'all, I've got a left handed Simmons S-10 that I'll need to take on tour this year and I'm looking for an all-in-one rolling flight case that will protect the body of the instrument as well as fit the hardware. I've looked through old SGF threads about cases but a lot of the links are broken/de...

Gram Parsons' PSG players
Hey y'all,
Forgive me, as I'm sure this has been discussed before.
I know Buddy Emmons and Al Perkins both play on Gram Parsons' two solo LPs (unless I'm mistaken), but does anyone know specifically who plays on which tunes?
Thanks,
Henry

Tuning issue w/E strings
Hey y'all, I've been playing my Simmons S-10 steel for about half year now. I keep running into an issue with the E strings not staying in tune when I operate the knee lever associated with those strings. Whether I'm raising or lowering the E's, they rarely return to their original pitch in tune - i...

PSG through bass amp?
Hey y'all, Apologies if there's a relevant thread already going, but I'm curious if anyone has any advice/opinions about playing pedal steel through a smaller size bass combo amplifier. In particular, I'm curious about the Gallien Krueger MB150s (1x12). They're famously tough and loud amps for their...

Lap Steel ID
Anyone got an ID on this lap steel? It looks like an old magnatone of some kind. Model? Year? Pictures included. Thanks. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1712/18981_IMG_5194_1.jpg https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1712/18981_IMG_5195_1.jpg https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1712/18981...

Where to find sets of spare .11/.12s?
Hey y'all, Does anyone know where to find sets of spare .11 or .12 gauge G# strings? Is it possible to buy them in packs of 5-10 to keep around? I tend to break that 3rd string more often than all the others and would love to find a way to replace just the broken string, rather than buying/opening a...
