I'm surprised there is not more interest on this one. It looks really clean.

Are the bridge and nut made of metal, or plastic, or what?

Thank you

Hello Sebastian,

The Third Man Theme is one of my favorite songs, from one of my favorite films.

I've worked it out a bit on the 8-string electric, but the acoustic treatment is more delicate and faithful to the original. Anton Karas would love it. I admire the high-fret slants. Thanks. John Keefe

Hello Clair, I admire that you are persevering with the steel guitar. I have some grip trouble, too, and will check out the space-age Clinesmith. Here's something else you might try. Thanks for sharing this great vintage clip.

I love how Leon sneaks in a quote from "Rhapsody In Blue". I'm going to have to find more of this footage.

Dots

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all these ideas. I think I will go to Rosette for the sticky dots.

I tried a shop that specialized in beads, and had them in red, white, and blue, but they were too large. Thank goodness I think they would have been gaudy.

Best regards

Bill,

Thanks for that tip. I'm sure the steel legs would make a difference.

Wobbles on a Console Grande

Hello Steelers, I have recently returned to the steel after a long absence. I am playing a Gibson Console Grande which I believe dates to about 1952 or so. I love the thing, and it's in great shape, but it wobbles. It has the screw-in legs, adjustable aluminum. The screw at the end of one leg has wo...
