Thanks for the guitar ideas fellas. I think I'm beginning to understand why players want more than one pedal steel guitar. Thanks for the offer to try your guitar Cory. If I can ever get to Saybrook, I'll take you up on that! Image

I've noticed that BJS chrome bars resist nicks (when dropped) better than a stainless steel bar. Anyone notice this?

Hey all, Thanks for all your comments recently about steel brands etc. I've been in Nashville this past week working and hitting the Honky Tonks and other bars at night. I heard some nice steel playing while I was there. A few of the players were really great. I talked to most of them and they were ...

Well, on second thought...don't ask, cause I still don't. I'm sure most of these guitars are fine but I'm finally convinc...

Thanks to all the steel players for their input to my "high quality" guitar question. By the looks of all the reply posts I've gotten, I have a bit of data to sift through. Some of these posts have helped me network with some local folks.

Thanks,
Brett

Thanks for your reply Mike. My main concern with finding a quality guitar is consistant good intonation. A guitar that stays in tune (at least for a reasonable amount of time). Also, a guitar with pedal ease that doesn't hurt my back after an hour of pressing. The constant retuning thing is a pain o...

Quality Steel Guitars?

Hello, I've been asking around about which brands of pedal steel guitars are of top "quality". I've been frustrated with the neutral answers I get. It seems nobody wants to step on any guitar maker's toes? Do I really have to travel 2000 miles and take a month off to seek out and play all ...
