WTB Zumsteel Stage One

Looks like Doug hasn’t been taking any orders for quite some time. Anyone willing to part with a used guitar? After some research it looks like this is a great guitar for my budget/level. Thanks!

Hey bob - thanks for the thoughts. To answer your questions, the GFI has 3 levers and the Emmons is mica. Definitely glad to hear it will keep value if worst case the push/pull is a little too much of an undertaking.

Huge thanks for the advice here. If I was between this Emmons and a GFI student model 3x3 (also used, about $200 cheaper), what would you recommend?

Installing Knee Levers on an Emmons Student Model S10 3x2

Have the opportunity to purchase a used 3x2 Emmons student model. Photo here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/phm2rqit6xl6vq9/Emmons%20st%202609.JPG?dl=0 However, was concerned I'll likely want to add 2 knee levers. Don't have photos of the undercarriage, but can probably ask if helpful. Wanted to gauge h...

WTB Used S10 ~$1300

Apologies if this isn’t anything “special” per se, but looking for a used S10 3x4 in the $1300 range. Newer models in good shape preferable, since unfortunately I don’t have much time for maintenance/restoration and don’t want it to come at a cost to playing. Thanks!

SELL or TRADE - Sho Bud Professional D-10 6153

Picked this up off craigslist a while back. I'm a beginner and thought it would serve as a good guitar to get the basics down while giving me some solid room to grow. Took it to Tom Bradshaw who was spectacularly helpful in getting this guitar in playing shape. However, I honestly never use the C6 n...

Help with Volume Pedal

Hi all - just picked up my first pedal steel - it's a Sho Bud Professional with the original pickups. Looking for a volume pedal ideally around 100-150. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Sho~Bud Professional - Changer Maintenance

Hi all - I recently purchase an old D10 8x3 from a local seller (first pedal steel) and have spent some time this weekend cleaning it up and getting ready to play. So far, I've destrung and cleaned out the fretboard, saddle, tuners, etc. Now I hope to get started on the underside of this beast ...

For those interested - I ended up making the purchase. Little more rust than I expected, and changer probably needs a good clean, but all in all looks to be in salvageable shape!

Another post inbound on maintenance advice!

Thanks all! Appreciate the advice. In terms of the world of potential maintenance that may be required, what are the most common types of work that could be expected? I know an additional knee lever (that I may end up installing) would cost around $150/200, but would appreciate ballpark figures on o...

Advice Needed - Sho Bud Professional

Hi all. I'm new to the forum, and have been watching the 'For Sale' page for a first pedal steel for quite some time. Unfortunately, nothing yet has quite met my price range (and those that do seem to get sold in the blink of an eye!). I recently ran across this Sho Bud D10 8x3 in Sacramento (I'm ba...
