I have a question about the first string. I see that some put a D instead of G. Is that a D note below the the G that I currently have? If so, what gauge string? Silly question probably but I have never had a C6 neck before. Looks like great fun.

Hello again. I have an older Sierra Olympic. D-10. It has the shoes that you can slide the pickups in and out for a quick swap. Has anybody come up with a good mod to lock the knee levers in place, short of tightening them down so they can't move? There must be some kind of way to stop them from coming towards the player. I don't mind them folding forward but I don't like that they will keep working up your knee as you play....

Well I assembled it as you see in the picture. (The picture is from the previous owner). As you can see this puts the pedal bar about 3 or 4 inches off the ground. My ankles don't flex that much. Hi, I just purchased an old Sierra Olympic D-10. Missing a few parts but nothing critical for me. Did the topic of "weight" ever come up during the design phase of this guitar? Holy cow! I had to repair a few things but will soon be ready to set it up and see how out of wack the underside ...
