Very much appreciated

Relly liked the varying applications on these songs. I am a beginning steel player who has played guitar and bass in the past. I am especially interested in applying steel guitar to a genre that normally isn't represented in the steel guitar community. That being comtemporary christian. I am hearing...

I do have that chart. It is great. What I am looking for is playing a transition, in other words moving from the C chord to the A minor if that makes sense.

Major to Minor tab

Standard E9 tuning. Looking for a couple of ways to transition from a root chord (say C) to the minor (Am). So a simple stepping into the minor to provide a fluent change if that makes sense.

Thanks in advance and love this forum.

As a beginner steel and old guitar player, I will learn techniques and theory from many before me but develop my own sound. May be simplistic, but it's my approach.

Question on headphones

Don't know what happened to my first post, but here goes again.

Is there a way to plug headphones into my Peavey 112 to listen to my steel while at the same time listen to a backing track or song through the headphones as well?

It would sure save my good wife's ears!

Light bulb went off - thanks to Gary Sill

Had a great session with Gary Sill last week. I am a guitar player who is learning steel. 55 years young. I play by ear and always have. Of course, I know chords, but when a song is played I can find the chords on the guitar and off I go. Don't know how to read music and could care less. But when pi...

I am looking for backing tracks already made where I can follow along for practice. BIAB does not have that, or at least that is what the associate is saying. I do not want to make tracks. I am looking for an online system that already has them. I know www.karaoke-version.com has them, but they are ...

Backing tracks for dummies

Didn't know exactly where to post this. Fairly new on this site. I am looking for a backing track program. BIAB seems a bit complicated for someone like me. Is this the go-to program that everyone here uses? I need to be able to download a backing track to a CD or stick so I can take it to church an...

New player help needed on scales

I am an on-again off-again guitar player and bass player for several years. Play by ear. Know the chords on the instruments and have a good ear to follow most any song. Don’t know a lick about music theory or how to read music. Played steel for 2 years (but that was 27 years ago). With the steel t...

Is there a service online that has backing tracks, with and without vocals, rather than purchasing them one-at-a-time? I am looking for country as well as Christian music.
