Source for Weissenborn Nuts

Greetings All,
Been a while since I've been on the forum, nice to have a builders corner now.
I have a few Weiss builds going and just realized that my nut supply is almost gone. Where does anyone recommend as a source. for them. Stew Mac has them for $20, seems steep.
Thanks,
Michael

Beautiful guitar. I've never seen an instrument made with Elm, looks great. Do you have sound clip?
A good deal too. Good luck.

Hi Robby, Not sure if a baritone will fit these cases, but here's a start: http://bediaz-music.de/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=41 https://goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone/accessories/hdw I've used the Gold Tone cases for Weissenborns that I've made, seems like a decent and adequate case....

Sold.
It ended up selling on Reverb, but I'll still send a check to the forum. I sincerely appreciate the forum to have a place to post my thing and of course all the information so freely given.
Thank you.

Okay, I managed to figure how record and post a sound clip.
Please note: I'm not much of a steel player, fair warning!

Thank you. Billy, I can make a deep or deeper body. This one is 3 3/4" deep at the tail end. Tony, I've never worked with Koa, though I would like to, I've read that it is comparable to black walnut as far as density goes. I guess I would say it has a 'warm' sound, probably similar to other har...

Just saw the link Lee posted, thanks.

I assumed Weissenborn was generic name for a Hawaiian Hollowneck Acoustic Lap Steel Guitar. Don’t want no trouble, I’ll go with ‘Hawaiian ‘ or ‘ Acoustic Lap’...

Thanks for the kind words.

Lee, I have no idea what the rules are as far as calling an instrument an Weissenborn, TM and all that. As I have said, I’m new to the steel world, any enlightenment on this subject would be appreciated.

Thanks again,

New acoustic lap steel or Weissenborn

Hello, I’m pretty new here, and new to the steel world. Mostly a regular guitar player with a little banjo and harmonica too. And I make guitars. My friend Jonathan (member) let me try his Weissenborn copy (what a sound) and I knew I had to make one or two, so here’s the results. I usually make ...

Thanks for the replys.

I had no idea that’s how the grade goes. I thought they pretty much looked the same, as far as their shape goes.

The Noe/Most book is on my wish list.

Thanks again, great forum!

Weissenborn type?

Greetings all, New member, so first time post here. I’m finishing up a couple of Weissenborn builds and am wondering what the differences are between the #1, 2 or 3 ? If someone could point me in the direction of where to find this info I would sincerely appreciate it. I’ll post pics when theyâ€...
