What a Suprise

Boy I was suprised to find out from Reece tonight that my MSA which I thought was an 84 is actually a 73 and was origionally owned by Paul Franklin. My steel is 3&4, but it left the factory 3&3. Who added the 4th knee? Was it Paul or someone else? Could anyone help me with this one? Thanks a...

I don't have a pedal to sell you, but I think they are a very good pedal. I can't find anything wrong with them, so I'd like to find out what other people have against them. I respect everyone's opinion. Hope you find what you're looking for though.

Well I'm not a fan of Tim McGraw, so my opinion may be biased, but thinking about all the charges that could be placed against him according to what I read in my local paper. I'd have written a college thesis in tickets. I'd like to see him do some time along with Kenny. I think Kenny will get out o...

Thanks Ernie I'll give it a try tonight. Now that I think of it, Buddy's guitar sounds like a 12 string. Thanks again... http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif Chris Dufrane<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Chris Dufrane on 06 February 2001 at 03:42 AM...

Doug, I use WinAmp to convert MP3's to wav's. If you have it you go to options, preferences, plug-ins, out and choose Nullsoft disk writer. Then go to configure and choose thefolder you want the wav's to go into. After you have all the files turned into wav's go back to preferences, plug-ins out and...

Tele, sorry I don't have the tab. I think if you play the song really slow on a program like goldwave and you can really hear the changes. When I tried it the strings and their changes really came into focus, but I haven't actually tried to play it yet. I hope this helps. Chris Dufrane<FONT SIZE=1 C...

Mpu-mp3

My friend d'loaded a couple songs off napster and put them on a floppy disk. He then went to play them on another computer and they wouldn't play, because they were in an MPU format. He wants to put them in MP3 format, so he can play them through winamp. Well I really don't know how to do this. Coul...

Jack, I'm trying to modify the actual song. Stuff I'd like to add are like scratching effects, and other effects to make a groove mix. Can this be done on GoldWave?

DJ Re-Mixing

Hey guys, a friend of mine is a weekend DJ and he wanted to know if I can re-mix some songs for him on my computer. He doesn't have a computer and he's not into the whole deal of investing a ton of money to play $200-$400 gigs. His set up is pretty basic, CD player, tape deck, and other stereo equip...

I wonder if a Black Widow 12" speaker would work better than the Scorpion. I think the Scorpion is an 8ohm speaker. I don't know what the black widow is. I also don't know if I would have room for the black widow that would replace the scorpion. I wonder if this would work? Any other ideas??? C...

Amp Settings?

Hey guys and gals. I'm still learning steel and I'm wondering how would I get a mellow tone from my MSA S-10 Classic. All I have for an amp is a Peavey Bandit 65. This is a really good amp. I've got the west coast sound nailed, but I'd like to get the shimmering mellow sound, (ie. Lost in the Feelin...

It's great for the west coast sound, but I can't find the right adjustment for that mellow shimmering sound I like, ie. &...

Anyone have tab for "Lost in the Feeling" ?

Hey everyone I'm looking for the tab to "Lost in the Feeling." I really like this song and I still can't figure out the steel breaks in it. I'm not fussy either the Conway Twitty version or Mark Chesnutt version. Thank You in advance to all who reply.

Trouble with mic.

I'm at the end of my rope playing around with this dang mic. I've got a Compaq Presario 5451 and a Compaq MV500 monitor with a mic built in. I was trying to use the AOL Instant Messenger voice chat and I could hear a litte, so my cousin fixed it on the other end and I got to where I could hear good....

Something similar to that happened to me with my grandfathers Peavey vintage 100 watt 410. I was playing his 6 string Gretsch with some effects and I bent down to adjust one of the effects with the volume pedal on full directly infront of the amp and then bang. I think it was a problem in one of the...
