I like Andy Alford's tuning. G on top. I get about everything I want with it. It is permanent on my top neck . The bottom neck I experiment with. Never been satisfied with any tuning but C 6th.

I use a High gain peddle but sparingly. Inever pump it but sometimes will backit off and sweel into a note or chord for an organ effect

I have a sho-bud pro 2 but I use it as a non pedal a lot. ( I also use pedals ). I found that most of the players I knew used C6th with a .010 or a .011 on top as a G. I thought it was too thin so I tried using an .012. It works well and doen't break as some thought it would.

I knew a pro who told me to practice with my eyes shut. That way I could sight read if neccesary with out looking at the fretboard. Still when he played a gig he plyed by ear.

Herb what is wrong with a Magnatone. I played one for years. Loved the tone. Even had the Magnatone Amp to match. As for the fender Why not have a body made and just put the pickups in . That way the fender can be put back original some day. Jody will probably get after me for mentioning Magnatone

I hear about many great steel player of Hawaiian music, but never about Eddie Bush. Eddie lived in Long Beach, Cal when I mert him and was playing with Lani McIntyre. Any info will be appreciated
