Fender / Sho bud fingers
Hey Steelers,
I got a Fender Shobud 3x1 I got a while back. The finger tips are getting pretty worn with deep string wear, and it looks like I need a few replaced, Poping my 3rd G# a lot and it’s looking pretty split. Gigging weekly so hopefully I can find a fix.
Thanks

Decal update
Wanted to let you all know I canceled and had my deposit refunded from paypal for the contracted build from Carl Heatley without going into details. Unfortunately I never got to see the decals on it, or guitar. I bet there awesome. Nevertheless thanks for the help from Micheal at PSGparts.com I love...

Its a very cool model of steel, really great 'big' sound, and very versatile I have 36' Triumphal tweed set. I love it and play it every Friday night at the local bar. Also the amp is amazingly LOUD for its size. I have pry it away from the guitar player's at gigs. Never any major amp repairs, which...

Jim, Thanks for the info, no build, its just a preference in color for the PU cover. The steel will have a classic white sho bud fret board, so the PU cover will continue the accent theme. The PU will be a true tone 10. I wanted to make sure when I swap the covers out that the cover dimension is the...

Steel Pickup Cover Material Question?
Working on a steel build, I know Forbon Vulcanized Fiber is used for the pickups bottom and top cover plate. Wondering what thickness it is? For a Sho bud outfit. Looking for it in white to accent the steel.
Thanks

Finally Solved! Here's the rundown. Still playing through a Roland Jazz Chorus 50A I had the similar problem with my Artist S-10 on the high B and E strings. (after a pickup install) E open would ring really weak. B with pedal down would drop out even more. Later..I went back to the Artist S-10, aft...

Pickup installed, and replaced the output jack with some gold :) sounds great :) I have a lot more volume then before, and much brighter. When I played my amps I always had to go past 6 on the knob to keep up with stage volume. On the Roland jazz chorus I've been playing currently, I was on 3 at the...

Been playing through a Roland Jazz chorus. (solid state) Pickup is George L 66 Lane, Not acoustically as far as I can notice. Bar technique: 1st normal hand form then.. tried both spots with the nose of the bar, and with no fingers behind the bar, still the same response, same with right hand on and...

Hey Brett! Good to hear from you. Always enjoy trying out new gear. That Empress Reverb looks like a lot of fun and expansive in terms of how much you can tweek the definition. That's why I dig my Holiest Grail Reverb. Simple, and so many options. The Eventide looks smaller and looks good on pedalbo...

Dead note on Sho bud Maverick.. SOLVED!
Put together my friend old sho bud Maverick. Gave it much TLC. After Tuning, I noticed the my high B when pedal down to C# reduces in volume drastically on the 4th fret only, and only on that string.
Strange??
Any thoughts got a gig in a few hours.
