I clearly remember “The Nashville Scene.” I remember Buddy, Grady and T Tommy Cutrer. It aired on WDHN, channel 18, in Dothan, Alabama…late ‘70s(?). I remember one episode featuring Hank Jr. discussing all the Civil War memorabilia in his possession.

I appreciate your response, guys… I’ve acquired both of these amps in the last month or so. I was very glad to get them. Jerry, I swapped the speakers in both of them. I put an EPS-15C in the Session 400 and a TT-15 in the LTD. I’m quite sure that normal maintenance/upgrades is going to fix a lot. I...

Question about Session/LTD 400…

I have both, a Session 400 and an LTD 400. And both of them need normal maintenance. But, the both have a fizzy, croupy distorted sound when certain strings are played on a Telecaster and Les Paul...like 3rd and 4th strings open. It’s not a real strong distortion and I’m having a difficult time in t...

Early 1971 Fender Bandmaster Reverb ??

I acquired a ‘71 Bandmaster Reverb about 4 years ago. It has a very sweet and “Fendery” tone. But, for some reason, I seldom use it. I typically take my old Bassman 50 when I play guitar. . . . with a 2x10 cabinet that I got from Mojotone. I’m not the guy that likes to change the “DNA” o...

. . . about the BL910 being “darker.”

Id be curious to know from the guys who’ve tried the 910 and decided it wasn’t cutting through . . . were you using a pot volume pedal or an active pedal, like say a Hilton?

@ AJM Tremendous advantage! The Blackbox has a tube and "Vari-Z" that gives a broad range of control over the way the pickup loads and affects the tone. I used my Blackbox for time with my pot pedal until I got fed up with pots and strings. When I got a Hilton, I drew from the wealth of in...

I've been, pretty much, a single coil guy for a long time. I had a L710 on the first steel guitar I owned(Emmons LL2) and I was very friendly with it. But I think now that the L910 is my new favorite pickup. Of course, I use a Hilton volume pedal and a Sarno Blackbox.

BL 910 pickup

At first glance, it looks like a L710 but only has one row of magnets.
