Jack, the COVID has ruined a lot of musicians fun. At 71, in my retirement town of Payson, Arizona, there is little left to do for a steel player, unless one wants to engage the local out of time, tune and too loud jam sessions. He was a great musician and dedicated to helping promote the pedal steel guitar shows....................another legend has left the stage of mother earth.

He was such a nice person to deal with for Emmons parts. We traded some pedals about 2 years ago, as he had what my requirements were and I had want he needed. Totally trustworthy man.

One time, while traveling through Ohio on the way from Pennsylvania to Arizona by I70 and flipping through some local stations after getting tired of XM and the Cd's, Chubby came across the airwaves with a steel g...

Each steel player interprets what and how he hears a tune differently. There was only one time in my 50 years of this instrument that someone fooled me into believing it was Buddy Emmons on the recording and he wasn't. So long ago my memory can not recall the player.
