Thanks I believe the recommended signal chain for you would be: Black Box-Volume-Reverb-PreAmp-Amp.

The Black box helps drive your signal to the amplifier. It's a buffer so it really needs to interact with the pickup and having it first in your chain is the best.

Interesting....any idea how long the BB needs warm up to perform at its optimal? It's a wonderfully mysterious unit. I've been very happy with mine.
