I have one of these and it ended my reverb quest. Highly versatile, not just a drip machine - though it can do that gloriously. Don't doubt its ability to work for steel.

Love this non-standard application of pedal steel

In a turkish psych-funk setting!

I have that change on both 7 and 1, and I love it. I just discovered that using the same grips that I would use for a major chord with the Es lowered, I get a minor at the root position (8th fret for C). But more importantly, it gives me access to easy chromatic runs in both open position and pedals...

As someone curious about the jams I've read about, but not enough to travel to Portland or San Diego to attend one, I'm definitely interested. Maybe Joe and I could carpool.

I'm no expert, but that Nesmith record is the business! DAMN!

I wholeheartedly second what Joe Alterio said on the topic.

Great story indeed, aside from the losing a wife and kid part. I can't even imagine how hard that would be. Anyway, just to report back, the speaker sounded incredibly raspy on the high end when pushed just the slightest bit. I assumed it was blown so I passed. The question as to whether or not it w...

That's some thorough responding. I appreciate the thoughts, and the catalog reference. I also appreciate that Doug has real experience with one as a guitar cab.

I'm trying to meet up with the guy this weekend. I'll let y'all know my thoughts if it works out.

Music Man RH 115 Cab

Aloha, forumites. I've been thinking about pairing my Traynor YBA1 with a 15" speaker cabinet as a higher power (than my deluxe clone) rig for E9. One of these Music Man RH 115 cabs has popped up on the local craigslist, and I was wondering if anyone here has any experience using one as a cab f...

I can add little to this that hasn't already been said, outside of this, from Robbie Basho: "Better to drink wine from the hands than water from a pretty cup; of course the ultimate is wine from a pretty cup."

JHS/Milkman Delay

Anyone have any experience with the JHS Milkman Slapback (+ boost) delay? https://www.jhspedals.info/milkman A while back I sold off my MXR Carbon Copy, since I felt that it added a little bit of a sterile edge to things, and I was only using it to dial a little bit of slap - 1 to 3 repeats, fairly ...

A man after my own heart. About once a week I have to talk myself out of spending $500 that I should probably use to pay down other debts instead. And without any shows on the horizon to justify "needing" the tool, I have yet to commit. But I'm sure that one of these days the temptation wi...

Is it true that these produce more of a hall type reverb than a 6g15 fender reverb unit? Or are they in the same ballpark?

Thanks

Having not previously visited the website I earlier posted in this here thread, I realize now that it didn't really allow a listen to the songs. I'd assume that youtube is the most accessible way to share the music. Barring continued technical ineptitude, maybe this is actually the way to go: https:...

New album

Good day, fellow Steelers. My band just released our debut record, and it features yours truly doing my best to make some steel sound pretty OK. A '73 (I think) Sho-Bud two-hole round front brass barrel Pro-1 is featured prominently on songs 5 and 7, and there's some "textural" steel on 1 ...

As a sucker for ambient, minimalism, I dig it. Reminds me a lot of this recent release by Luke Schneider: https://lukeschneider.bandcamp.com/
