If you can find it in your heart to lower the E's on two different K levers, and lower the top E(string 4)plus the 9th on one lever, you will be amazed at what is available. If you go a step further and go to an extended E9,(i.e.) 12 string, you'll be even further amazed. Set up with a little imaginatio...

Thanx for the info Jim.In retrospect,it's probably the output of the Rockman to the headphones that should have a tone control on it.There is an edge in the phones that I would like to take off.And the Rockman has no tone control, but plenty of volume control.

Tone Control

I use a Rockman for practice. It's a good sound, but has a bit of a sharp edge to it.Is it possible to make up a little box with a tone control to go inline with the input cord, and if so what pot and how to wire it?Thanks Rusty

This is a great topic Reece. And all that has been said here about the mental state one has to have to achieve the most from every practice session is very important.Could I ask you to explain the ritual or mechanics of how you practice? For example-if you are going to work on a new tune,do you you u...

It's all about practice Richard. There is NO shortcut to becoming a good player. You can teach your hands to do anything-but it reqires repitition and patience. And never forget that no matter how good you think you are, there is always someone better. That thinking keeps one humble and striving to becom...

Chris, there maybe something available in Halifax. You could pop over on the ferry and pick it up.Save U.S. shipping. When I was in St.Johns I bought a beautiful Ovation that someone had got,but really wanted an accordian. But however you do it,a 2nd steel is a must-at least in my mind.

Alesis Miroverb problem

The "mix" pot in my Miroverb appears to be worn out.I've sprayed it but that's not helping.Anyone know where I could order an original pot? It's rated @ 1KB.Has 6 terminals which are soldered into the board. So I'm assuming it's Alesis own design.

Thanks for your responces,John&Lee.I'm pretty challenged when it comes to electronics so I don't know what an a/b switch is.Would that be an on/off/on 3 position type? I was thinking in the lines of being able to turn the tuner on between songs to check the tuning. Not to leave it on.I don't have...

Is it possible to wire a tuner to the output jack on a guitar without it affecting the pickup output? Just one of those cheap tuners thst Korg makes.

George L pickup

I have an older GL humbucking pickup that I want to install in a guitar.Trouble is,I can't remember how it's wired. There are 2 cables coming out of it-each with 3 wires.Red,white&black.I don't think the reds are used. Are the 2 blacks joined & the whites go to hot and ground? Thanks,R.W.

Millenium owners-have any of you experienced large temp change and did it affect the guitar?
