What kind of guitar are you using? I know that on some tele's neck p/u you can't get some harmonics on some fret postitions. The problem is that the pickup is in the "wrong" position in the scale length and it cancels some harmonics. Or, never let's them develop.

One more if you don't mind? The Roland is a very good way to go but the MiniDisc stuff is very affordable. Home recording is really good practice for going into a "pro" studio and not wasting a lot of time. Once you've worked out you ideas at home you can walk into a studio knowing what yo...

I have a good friend and player who finally settled on a MB Mark III for psg. He claims to miss the 15" speaker at times but the boogie will stay clean and loud with an efficient speaker and good tubes. The reverb was very polite so he added a rack unit in the efx's loop. A few years ago I met ...

Well duh...Thanks for the tip Martin. I should've looked before I leaped! Many good ideas expressed about using that rascal for steel guitar and I think Line6 should take a look at some of the ideas regarding amp models and speaker configurations. With some work, I've found the delay and reverb to b...

Age old question... Beatles or the Stones? Uh sorry, I mean SS or tubes? http://www.b0b.com/forum/smile.gif My statement is this: Tubes are voltage devices. Transistors are current devices. Passive, inductive pick-ups develop little current but some voltage. FET's have closed this gap and offer adva...

POD for steel guitar?

Has anyone tried a POD on the steel guitar yet? I've been amazed with the thing for my electric guitar and I've been a Matchless amp guy for several years! Don't just settle for the presets, get out the MIDI cables, computer and software for deep editing and give it a l@@k!

Cheers, joe

While not up on an ADA I wondered why you would connect the preamp out of one amp into the instrument input of a second amp? A more plausible choice for me would be guitar into one amp input, amp preamp out into the mono input of the ADA. Take the stereo out of the ADA into the power amp in or "...
