Thank you both! I tried loosing the jack & tightening it back up, and it completely fixed the issue.

Stage One Pedal Steel humming while plugged direct into amp

I bought a Stage One in 2019. It's a beautiful textured black guitar and I've enjoyed playing & learning on it. I had my first ever live gig on this thing last month and it was a major confidence booster, I'm excited to keep gigging! Lately, I've noticed a bad hum coming through my signal chain....

I replaced by Quilter Tone Block (200 watts) with the Cub a couple months ago, and I couldn't be happier. Works really well for both my tele and my psg. The three different inputs are fantastic, you can really get a variety of tone just from those. Reverb isn't amazing, but I'm using a pedal for rev...

Thanks guys! I tuned the changers with the rods loose, and then I was able to get both the raise and the lower in tune. So much better. I still have to jam the C pedal down further than I'd like, any ideas on how make the E->F# raise a little quicker?

Emmons student model: C pedal binds with E drop lever

Hello all - I got an Emmons gs-10 (student model 3x1) almost a year ago. It's a lovely guitar with a great sound, but it needs a little help. The C lever (Raise B->C#, E->F#) binds against the E->Eb knee lever. I've found 2 options: 1. Tune C pedal well, and get no function from knee lever, or 2. Lo...

Winnie Winston/Bill Keith book tracks

Hey all - I'm wondering if anyone has found or uploaded digital tracks from the "Pedal Steel Guitar" book by Winnie Winston and Bill Keith. I've got the CD, but my laptop doesn't have a cd player, and I'd love to play them on my computer if possible. Are they on youtube, or available for d...

Chuck - How do you like the Fender for PSG? I play a lot of bass and I love those new rumbles. So lightweight without compromising too much tone. I'd love an amp I could use for both, if possible.

@Tim & Alex - I'm seriously considering getting the quilter mini. I played around with an Aviator a little and was really impressed. Do either of you ever add a light overdrive or fuzz to your playing? How has the Quilter responded? Also, what is a good, reliable economic 1X15 cab you would reco...

Utah players??

Does anybody know any players in Utah? I'm new to psg and I'd love to get in touch with anyone who could give a lesson or two in person. I'm getting pretty far with Youtube University and books, but I'd really love to meet some other players. Any help? Thanks!

4th string not lowering w/ knee lever

Hey all - I'm new to the psg game and loving it. I've got an Emmons gs 10. I've noticed that the 4th string (E) isn't lowering when I engage the right (and only) knee lever. The low E does lower, but not the high E. Looking at the undercarriage, I can see the rod moving but pitch doesn't change at a...

Deslondes!

Will - I'm in the same boat as you. I was saving up for a Stage one but found an Emmons student 3x1 for the right price. I'm loving it, and I've definitely got a lot more learning to do until I've outgrown it, but I'm still planning on getting the stage one eventually. I'm curious what you're findin...
