Green LDG $2,400 - SOLD
Historic Sho-Bud LDG. Early 70's , player grade, in excellent condition, sounds sweet, classic Sho Bud sound. Custom built for Tom Schmidt, who apparently played this on the Grammy stage - there is a sticker on it to prove it! Emmons setup, with original Sho-Bud pickup. It had a George L pickup in i...

I never felt that connected to my Rains. I liked it, but it felt a bit distant. But the moment a sat behind my Sho-Bud LDG (before I bought it) I felt an instant connection, the way it fit my frame, how it sat under my hands, the tone, the easy playability... I fell in love right away, obsessed over...

Robert, I was you about a year and a half ago... I started with the GFI SM, loved it, light weight, plays easy, stays in tune, no cabinet drop, easy to change strings. Their customer service is excellent. This will get you going, till the bug really bites you and you'll be selling your children to s...

I made the same step up from the GFI SM a while ago, good starter for sure. You'll probably get lots of thoughts here, but why do you want to go to another entry level guitar now? If I were you, I'd consider make the investment in a more pro model. Some good one's can be found for about 2k, and I th...

6th string not lowering correctly anymore
I just changed my strings on my LDG, and now my 6th string, which is supposed to lower a whole step with the RKL, does not make it down, can only go about a half step. I tried to re-set the tuner to flat, so that the pitch does not change when engaged, then adjust it back to where it should be (Stev...

Re: Dr
Well here is one of my versions of the Deluxe Reverb. It's loaded with KT66 power tubes and huge trannies to support that filament current. I also used 2x10 golds for speakers which is awesome! This is one of my very favorite guitar amps I have built over the years. Mike, that looks awesome. I too ...

Re: Pickup for a Sho Bud LDG
Greg, thanks for the offer. I played a LDG with a 705 this weekend, was close to what I am looking for. I got JR's SB PUP, going to try that, but if that doesn't do the trick I may snag it from you. Thanks.Greg Thompson wrote:Frank,

I have a Hilton active pedal... I think this already has a buffer in it.. but it does not give the bright, chimey sound I seek..David Nugent wrote:You might try a 'Li'l Izzy' (believe that there is or was one for sale here on the Forum). One of these little boxes will enhance the tone of the guitar considerably.

Thanks for all the input so far guys, I really appreciate it.
Dave Hartley has a nice old Bud here, with that crisp, bell like tone I am thinking about..
